LOVE SONGS

Since our cave dweller years, most of the songs that have ever existed are about love in some way, shape or form.

A study on the “psychology of music” determined about 67% of lyrics in every song, every decade since the '60s, were somehow about love.

It has been estimated that more than 100 million love songs have been recorded, and the variety is staggering.

The following tune most pertinent today, is one of my all time favorites from the 60's, written by Jackie DeShannon:

"What the world needs now is love, sweet love. It's the only thing that there's just too little of. What the world needs now is love, sweet love.

No, not just for some, but for everyone.

Lord, we don't need another mountain. There are mountains and hillsides enough to climb. There are oceans and rivers enough to cross.

Enough to last 'til the end of time.

What the world needs now is love, sweet love. It's the only thing that there's just too little of. What the world needs now is love, sweet love.

No, not just for some, but for everyone.

Lord, we don't need another meadow. There are cornfields and wheatfields enough to grow. There are sunbeams and moonbeams enough to shine.

Oh listen, Lord, if you want to know.

What the world needs now is love, sweet love. It's the only thing that there's just too little of What the world needs now is love, sweet love.

No, not just for some, oh, but just for every everyone."
